This would also give them the option to simply ignore the Far East if they had no plans for it, focusing all their efforts on other things. Leaving Cathay and the Far East as a potential for future expansion would allow us to get a hyper detailed version of that area as well as this, since they wouldn't be squished together and sharing budget/dev time. Having a hyper detailed version of it opens the potential for CA to use it in the future for a potential ME's map which has the Old World map, Vortex map and this one (either all together or in different theatres of war) allowing for the largest, most detailed ME map possible.
